Forthcoming Scientific-Practical Conference of the National Association of General Practitioners in Bulgaria - Preliminary information
18.10.2012This year's traditional giving of the prize "Family Doctor of the Year" - will be bestowed during the National scientific-practical conference, organized by NAGPB in Plovdiv. Family doctors of different districts of the country, meeting the specific criteria, will be nominated.
The forum will be held in November from the 15th to the 17th in the Novotel Plovdiv, Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
As early as Thursday, November the 15th 2012, before the official opening, a specially organized International Video Conference Academy on Headache will be held. The honoured lecturer will be Prof. Fabio Antonaci - University Center for Adaptive Disorders and Headache, UCADH (Pavia - Monza, Italy), member of the European Headache Society (EHS). The event will be moderated by Prof. Ivan Milanov - Director of “St. Naum” Hospital of Neurology and Psychiatry - Sofia, member of the Board and Treasurer of EHS and President of the Bulgarian Headache Society.
During the next two days of the Conference several modules will be presented, including the major one, on type 2 Diabetes - diagnosis, treatment, monitoring of patients with type 2 Diabetes mellitus, presentation of the Guideline of type 2 Diabetes mellitus for the General Practitioners in Bulgaria - the newest Guideline elaborated of the NAGPB.
Another module, focused on the pain treatment within the palliative care, will be delivered by the renowned lecturer Prof. P. Schwartzman from Izrael.
Also, there is a module, presenting the Cerebral Vascular Disease from the begining of the acute phase up to the patient’s rehabilitation.
With the kind assistance and participation of the Bulgarian Society of Cardiology, we will discuss practical aspects of outpatient care of cardiovascular insufficiency, the use of anticoagulants in cases of atrial fibrillation, talk over of specific real cases, read ECGs from the real practice illustrating different deseases etc.
Parallel to the Conference various clinical cases will be presented, and all participants will be able to take part in solving them using the NAGPB’s distance vote interactive system.
Registration will be open from 10 o’clock on Thursday, November the 15th in the Novotel’s lobby.
Registration fee: € 30, payable cash during registration. The fee covers access to the Conference events and exhibition area, a full Conference materials pack, coffee-breaks, and gala-dinner.
